Three years after Cleo and River first meet, both of them are keeping secrets that hold the key to forever. River wants to give Cleo the proposal she deserves but Cleo, newly pregnant, is determined to make this Christmas count, before their lives are changed forever.
Cleo Life just isn't slowing down. I'm so proud of how far I've come. The insecure, lifeless woman I used to be is now nowhere to be found. The community I've fostered and the relationship I've cherished fulfill me to my heart's capacity. Everything is going as it should, and this time - I mean that. Yet, I can't fight the dissembling feeling that the more we grow into the people we have worked so hard to become, we'll eventually outgrow each other and drift apart. River Making her my wife has been long overdue. Being with a woman who clings to her autonomy is equally challenging and rewarding. Although I'd be lying if I blamed her for the time it's taken me to finally set things in motion. When you fall into a routine and days blur into each other, time flies unnoticed, and life events that force you to pause seem to stop time completely. I'm done waiting; it's time for me to make good on the forever I promised her so long ago.
